Kisura wa Tanzania Project 2010
In Tanzania there is an imbalance between the country’s economy and the population that leads to low efficiency in providing education, health and other development components. One of the causes that influence such a situation is inadequate self-awareness among young girls and women.

The young girls (our youth) beauty queens with inadequate self-awareness undergo a social shock that leads to disorderly and misdemeanors conduct. This is derived from the reality that, most of these girls are young, unexposed and come from mostly low income families hence the sudden big exposure and fame creates catalysts that leads them astray in terms of social mannerism and self development.

The KISURA wa TANZANIA, “MIMI NI KISURA NAJITAMBUA” project intend to sensitize and educate the Tanzanian community on matters that hinder social development, especially in rural areas. The project involves scouting , boot camp and a grand finale show with top ten participants.

During the scouting period and boot camp, Beautiful Tanzanie Agency (BTA) organizes different activities, in partnership with Organizations that deals with public health-Currently Family Health International (FHI) and Population Service International (PSI). The activities are geared up to sensitize the Tanzanian communities on problems that hinder social development like self awareness among girls, HIV and AIDS.

BTA will implement the project in partnership with other organizations that deals with public health and Ministry that support youth development and Tourism to facilitate and organize activities that are prepared to address problems that hinder our social development.

The main success to BTA is the community response to KISURA wa TANZANIA slogan “MIMI NI KISURA NAJITAMBUA”. KISURA wa TAZANIA Project is going into its third year and whenever you mention KISURA, most of community member refers KISURA with a slogan “MIMI NI KISURA NAJITAMBUA”.

This is a good indicator for the project development and community awareness of the project. The main challenge KISURA wa TAZANIA Project has faced is inadequate funds to meet the running cost of the project.

BTA Main Objectives:
- Developing aspiring young girls to become Models, and even Supermodels with the opportunity to cross over into the International Fashion Industry.
- Uniting Tanzania with the global market by creating fashion collections which are inspired and influenced by the local culture, traditions and raw materials. Thus promoting the local fashion industry.
